Using machine learning to build and design the next generation of maps

This Sunday, join Eric Rodenbeck, Stamen founder and Creative Director, and Aman Tiwari, Stamen summer intern, Carnegie Mellon student and co-author of Terrapattern, for a bizarre and fascinating tour through the cartographic visions of artificial intelligence. In this informal seminar at the Stamen studio in San Francisco’s Mission District, Eric and Aman will share some of Stamen’s latest research into machine learning as applied to maps and satellite imagery.

This talk and Aman’s internship are made possible by the support of DigitalGlobe.

The seminar is Sunday, August 20th, from 2–5pm. Registration is free, but seats are limited. Please sign up at Eventbrite.
